Though one can trace out some subplots in this movie, they are so finely interlinked with each other that one can hardly separate them from the main plot of this story. Anne Hathaway plays the main role of this film. For example, the crisis that was shown at the end of this movie can’t be found in the novel. Further slight changes have integrated with the plot to bring to live some characters.

She has to go through some humiliating incidents in the early part of her career for grabbing a coveted job in journalism industry. After getting the job in a reputed fashion magazine, she has to face the jibes of her colleagues. Later she overcomes these initial problems dexterously with the help of Emily Charlton, who was the senior assistant of that magazine. Then the story begins to unfold itself, when an encounter takes place between Andrea and a handsome writer Christian Thompson. After this one can experience some amazing and sharp turns in this movie that will make it hard for an audience to leave the hall in the middle.
