Rock band The Bravery was formed in New York City to promote synthesis of indie rock and electronica music. This group is at the top ten in the United States of America and top five in the United Kingdom. Frontman-songwriter Sam Endicott and keyboardist John Conway began their partnership through playing in the local bars in mock-ska band Skabba the Hut that also included in Jonathan Togo. They played together in many bands. Endicott switched from bass guitar to vocals to form The Bravery, after shifting to New York.

About The Bravery
The Bravery performed its first concert at Stinger Club in Brooklyn on November 2003. They designed 1,000 posters and 3 song samplers containing the songs, An Honest Mistake, No Brakes and Public Service Announcement that later featured as the iconic Phoenix image and became the cover of the debut album of Bravery. This group booked a residency at the Lower East side club Arlene’s Grocery and performed on every Thursdays in May 2004. These shows garnered attention of several record labels. This band received its first radio airplay on the show Alter Ego.
The Bravery shifted to the Stoke Newington area of London in November 2004 and imported its residency idea to London playing every Thursday at The Metro Club in SOHO. It toured to the UK, France and Holland between Thursdays to perform in the shows for Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Razorlight. It also played New Years Eve of 2005 at the Motherfucker Party in New York City. Bassist Mike Hindert stripped naked exposing his genitals and displayed a painted smiley face with the words Happy New Years for that he was almost arrested. The Village Voice proclaimed the Bravery to be New York's Official Next Big Thing while MTV and Rolling Stone described them an artist to watch.
The first single of Bravery, An Honest Mistake was released in the UK on February 28, 2005. It debuted #7 on the UK Singles Chart. The single reached #12 on the US Modern Rock Chart. The group released its self-titled album, The Bravery on March 14, 2005 in the U.K. It also featured on the cover of an issue of the NME magazine besides featuring on the cover of the French Music Magazine, Magic. The Bravery was involved in a highly publicized feud with the fellow new wave revival band The Killers. It released its second single, Fearless in the UK on May 23, 2005.
The Bravery supported the opening night of the European tour of U2 in Manchester, UK on June 14, 2005. It played at the Glastonbury Festival on June 26, 2005. This band has its latest release, The Sun and the Moon Complete in January 2008.
