Tannahill Weavers’s members met in 1993. The drummer used to listen to radio constantly as a kid. Tannahill Weavers began playing at the college dive bar Anyplace. The group used to practice at the guitarist's basement.

After getting the record deal, Tannahill Weavers were sure they would make it. got Z102.1 to start playing their single and had their friends call in to request the song. A record executive heard it one day and immediately signed the group.
Tannahill Weavers accepted that they could really have a career in music in 1988, as soon as the band's first fan club was started by Helen Neilson. Starting out with just a few dozen members in San Antonio, the fan club quickly grew with group’s national tour and the launching of the band’s website by Cynthia Scheutz.
