An American rock band based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, “Tally Hall” was formed in December of the year 2002. At present the band is working under the Atlantic Records recording label. Before this the band had signed to the Indie label known as Quack! Media. The band's upbeat melodies and whimsical lyrics set them apart from other rock bands. About Tally Hall

Recognized often by their trademark ties, the band members include Rob on vocals and guitar sporting a yellow tie, Ross as percussionist with a gray tie, Zubin is the vocalist as well as the bassist and sports a blue tie, Joe with the red tie is the vocalist and also the guitarist and finally Andrew sports a green one and is the vocalist as well as the keyboardist. Andrew started writing songs when he was merely eight years old and later attended the University of Michigan and studied composition. The band was formed when Andrew met Rob through friends. The rest of the members were all school friends.

The band toured and also promoted their studio debut album, “Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum.” The band's live concerts featured songs like “Free Bird,” “Blinded by the Light,” “Why Don't We Do It in the Road?,” “Who Loves The Sun,” “To Be with You” and “Praise You.” The group is best known for the cover of Biz Markie's “Just a Friend.”

Tally Halls' number “Good Day,” has been widely acknowledged. It got national media attention on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson in the year 2006. The number also appeared in You Hear It First, in MTV's segment in the same year 2006.

“Complete Demos” was released in the year 2004; the following year saw the release of “The Pingry EP.” Next in the pipeline was “Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum,” which came out in the year 2005. The year 2008 saw the release of “Good Day” and the re – release of “Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum” on Atlantic Records.

The band was featured in “Happy Monster Band,” which was Playhouse Disney's short series. One can enjoy the band's song “The Whole World and You” in the commercial for Crayola's 3D Sidewalk Chalk.

Other than making music, the band also makes many short movies. They make both humorous skits and music videos. The band's best-known music videos are “Banana Man” and “The Bidding” which are very popular with the crowd.
