Takota intends to spend some time apart after the tour, to allow the band members to recharge. The group recently finished their most current project, but they are already planning the next release. Takota's most current release is the band's first project since the band broke up six years ago.

Often times, critics commend Takota for their ability to rile up the crowd when they perform live. Ted Lewis, a music critic from Shelbyville, has always commented on band’s superb bassist. Takota’s new project is receiving superb reviews from all the critics, including Flint Reiner, who first saw the group play in Shelbyville.

Takota met with a local DJ from Q100.1 and convinced him to play their single on air. The single immediately became a local hit and larger radio stations started playing the song. Eventually a record executive heard it and signed the band. The members of the group all quit their other jobs to focus on their music. Takota’s single rose quickly in the charts giving then the national recognition they always wanted. The group plays plenty of arenas, but would rather perform in the smaller bars in which they began.
