Subtle began playing at the local dive bar Anyplace. The drummer first found his love of music by listening to his aunt's music collection. The drummerdiscovered his love of music by listening to his sibling's record collection. Subtle’s members met in 1979. Robert Johnson heavily influenced the early work of the band.

About Subtle
Subtle are expecting to bring in a whole new audience with this tour and the most current release. The group is in the beginning of the tour promoting for their new record. Subtle's newest release is a refinement of their established sound.
Subtle talked to a local program director from Q91.9 and got their single on air. The girlfriend of a record executive heard the song and soon after Subtle was signed. The band plays plenty of arenas, but would rather play in the smaller clubs in which they began.
Subtle accepted that they were truly working musicians after Debra Ullmann started the first fan club for the band in 1992. The fan club grew from a few dozen to a few thousand after Betty Kloiber created a website for the group and a national tour gave the band plenty of exposure.
