The members of Strunz & Farah were friends in college. The guitarist was influenced by his aunt's love of music. The drummer use to listen to CDs constantly as a kid. Strunz & Farah started performing at the local club Ruin. Kiss heavily influenced the early work of the group.

After the single hit the airwaves and became incredibly popular, Strunz & Farah knew they’d made it big and were not willing to be just another one hit wonder. The band plays plenty of arenas, but would rather play in the smaller clubs in which they began. Strunz & Farah was offered a record contract after putting on a show at at Charlatan, a local dive bar. The band played for years atparties making almost no money.
Strunz & Farah knew they had finally made it after the band’s first fan club was started in 1983 by Kim McCarther. Starting out in Biloxi with a few dozen members, the club grew fast, eclipsing a couple thousand from New York to California in under a year.
The group may have just completed their newest album, but they are already plotting the next move. Strunz & Farah plans to take a break after the tour, allowing the group members to rest.
Generally, critics have praised Strunz & Farah for their ability to energize the crowd at live performances.
