Strung Out started playing at the college dive bar Colleague. The band used to practice at the drummer's basement. Strung Out began playing together in 1997. The guitarist first found his love of music by listening to his mom's music collection.

About Strung Out
The band has just finished their new record, and they are thinking of what is next to come. Strung Out will take some time off after the tour, allowing the band members to work on side projects.
Strung Out’s first album did not sell well, but received critical acclaim. The second album was a hit and the band was saved from being released by the record company. The bandplays plenty of arenas, but would rather play in the smaller venues in which they began. Strung Out talked to a local program director from Q98.9 and got their single on air. The girlfriend of a record executive heard the song and soon after Strung Out was signed. The group's members all had odd jobs while they waited for their time to come.
