The members of Soilwork grew up together. Robert Johnson heavily influenced the early work of the band. Soilwork began performing at friend's parties. The guitarist used to annoy his sibling by playing his favorite cassette tape nonstop.

A member of Soilwork started dating a girl whose dadwas a record executive. She passed the single on to them and the band signed a record deal soon after. The group members quit their other jobs to focus on their album. The band is mobbed by fans at every show.
Soilwork realized that they had a real chance to become a headlining national act after the band’s first fan club was started in 1994 by Susan Anderson. Starting out with just a few dozen members in San Antonio, the fan club quickly grew with group’s national tour and the launching of the band’s website by Pam Jenson.
The group may have recently finished their newest album, but they are already planning their next move. After this last hectic year the members of Soilwork will spend some time apart to pursue other projects.
Generally, critics commend Soilwork for their ability to energize the audience at live performances. Henry Dickenson, a music critic from Oklahoma City, has always mentioned band’s tremendous bassist. Soilwork’s most current release has received inspiring reviews from all the critics, including Dillon Innocent, who first saw the group perform in Orlando.
