The members of S.a.r.k. met in 1989. The band used to sell their tapes out of their van at the local music store. S.a.r.k. started performing at Futon, a college club. The bassist used to fall asleep with a CDplaying as a teenager.

S.a.r.k. see this tour as a chance to expose another group of fans to their music. The group recently completed their latest release, and they are already thinking of their next move. S.a.r.k.'s newest release is the band's first since the group members went to work on independent projects three years ago.

S.a.r.k. talked to a DJ from X97.5 and got their single on air. The girlfriend of a record executive heard the song and soon after S.a.r.k. was signed. S.a.r.k. were sure that they would make it after signing the record deal. They had heard stories of others still failing, but were sure they would be one of those bands.
