After paying their dues and opening shows for years, Sam And Ruby was signed to a record deal. The band played for years atcollege parties making almost no money. The band plays plenty of arenas, but would rather play in the smaller bars in which they started.
Sam And Ruby realized they made it as soon as Jennifer Francoeur started the first fan club for the band in 1982. After the band’s first North American tour, the fan club grew from the couple dozen fans who heard the group play around Shelbyville to the thousands who heard them play nation wide.
The group loves playing in Dallas because they played their first sold out show there. Sam And Ruby respects the fact that their fans love their past records, so they go to great effort to incorporate the previous hits with the newest ones.
