The members of Sadus grew up together. The drummer first found his love of music by listening to his uncle's music collection. The drummer use to listen to cassette tapes constantly as a teenager. Sadus started performing at the local bar Fighter. Aretha Franklin heavily influenced the early work of the band.

Sadus continued to work hard, scared they would just be another one hit wonder. Sadus was discovered after their single was heard on Q95.9.
Sadus accepted that they were truly working musicians in 1980, after the band's first fan club was started by Melissa Gitlewski. Initially the group only had a few fans from San Antonio in the club, but after playing across the country the fan club’s membership exploded to a few thousand.
Sadus will spend some time apart after this next tour, allowing the group members to work on other projects. The band may have just finished their new album, but they are already planning their next move. The newest album from Sadus is the band's seventh project.
Often times, critics will commend Sadus for their ability to energize the crowd at live shows. A music critic from Champaign, Reggie Menchen, has always been impressed with band’s incredibly talented vocals. Sadus’s newest project has received terrific reviews from notable music critics like Bob Okerblom and Raymond Avondale.
