Repulsive stand-up Robert Schimmel's career began while visiting his sister in Los Angeles, his learning stage started without knowing as his sister submitted his name for a local comedy club's open-mike night. It was like a shock for Robert as it was not his decision, after getting over the shock of being called onstage, he started taking it seriously. He improvised a routine which so impressed the club's owner that Schimmel got an invitation to perform there anytime he wished. About Robert Schimmel
This was good enough to make certain changes in his life as he immediately sold his Scottsdale, Arizona home and relocated his family to L.A. This was the beginning of a long journey as it took Schimmel five years to get his next big break. He created a very good impression to catch the eye of Rodney Dangerfield and won an invitation to appear on his upcoming HBO special. This show brought the lots of offers, as Schimmel later landed as a regular gig on the Fox comedy showcase "The Sunday Comics, where he performed stand-up. Schimmel also made a series of short films called "The Schimmel Papers," he also came up with his own Showtime special ,"Hardcore in the Big Apple" this followed by "Guilty as Charged". Besides these big time shows Schimmel continued his appearances on countless late-night talk shows. In 1997 he released "Robert Schimmel Comes Clean" his debut LP, followed by "If You Buy this CD, I Can Get This car" and Unprotected in 1999.
