Richard Lewis, a well know comedian and a vibrant artist, was born in Brooklyn, NYC, though he was raised in Englewood, New Jersey. Richard had a sort of comic sense since his childhood. He begun his career by writing ad copy in New Jersey and at the same time he was also writing jokes for many comedians likes of Morty Gunty. Richard's uncanny ability of humor got its first break in 1971, at a New York's show named as Improvisation and Pips, this show proved as a boost to inspire him. After this he got an opportunity to perform in Johny Carson's Tonight Show in 1974 and climbed the heights of fame. Then, he started his tours and superb act with the reasonable help from Robert Klein and David Brenner. His famous film "Diary of a Young Comic" aired in the hugely popular "Saturday Night Live timeslot." This talented comedian has earned a nomination for the prestigious American Comedy Awards, as a "Funniest Male Performer" in a Television Special for HBO. His exceptional work in "I'm Doomed" was also won him a Second Ace Nomination for his exceptional ability as a Best Stand-Up Comic. This consistent performer continued to give his best. His "Magical Misery Tour" was a big hit and it was filmed at NY's Bottom Line in December, 1996.
