The members of Rabbi Darkside met in middle school. The guitarist wanted to start a group since he was in high school. Rabbi Darkside began singing at the college club Deputy. The band was influenced by music of the 1970s.

Rabbi Darkside intends to spend some time apart after the tour, to allow the group members to recharge after a long tour. The band recently finished their newest project, and they are already thinking of their next move. Rabbi Darkside's new record took nine months to record.
Often times critics will praise Rabbi Darkside for their ability to rile up the audience during live shows. A music critic from Concord, Noah Fraiser, has always mentioned group’s soul-searching lyrics. Rabbi Darkside’s latest record has received incredible praise from all the critics, including Norris Krishnamurthy from Las Vegas and Derrick Mitchell from Pittsburgh.
Rabbi Darkside were still not sure if they would make it after getting a record. They had heard too many stories and knew that they were in no position to expect anything. The groupplays plenty of arenas, but would rather play in the smaller venues in which they began. Rabbi Darkside talked to a DJ from K101.5 and got their single on air. The girlfriend of a record executive heard the song and soon after Rabbi Darkside was signed. The group's members all had odd jobs while they worked hard to be known.
