Papa Vegas’s members met in 1975. The bassistdiscovered his love of music by listening to his mom's music collection. Papa Vegas began singing at City, a college bar. The group was influenced by the Mamas and the Papas.

Papa Vegas was discovered while performing at at Beach, a local dive bar. The band members quit their other jobs to focus on their record. Papa Vegas were sure that they would make it after signing the record deal. They had heard stories of others still failing, but were sure they would be one of those bands. The band is so popular they fan clubs in every city.
Papa Vegas realized that they could really have a career in music in 1993, as soon as Donna Klinger started the group’s first fan club. The fan club may have just started out with a few members that followed the band when the played in small clubs, but it quickly grew to thousands after the group released its first album and started touring nationally.
Papa Vegas intends to take a break after this next tour, allowing the group members to recharge. The band is in the second leg of the promotional tour for their most current project. Papa Vegas's new release is the group's second record.
Critics have often commended Papa Vegas for their ability to energize the audience at concerts. Russ Hart, a music critic from San Francisco, has always been pleased with group’s sincere songs. Papa Vegas’s newest record is receiving tremendous reviews from Evan Colangelo, a music critic out of Charleston, and Glenn Quinn, from Charleston.
