The members of Panik! met in middle school. The group used to sell their records out of their truck on the street. Panik! started performing at the local bar Knoll. The lead singer was encouraged to play by his dad.

Panik! was discovered after their single was heard on a local music hour on Q101.9. Now the group is a huge draw wherever they perform.
Panik! accepted that they were real working musicians after Pamela Jagodzinski started a fan club for the group in 1980. The group embraced the small fan club and with the launching of the band’s own website by Lizzie Avondale and a well marketed national tour the club quickly grew to a few thousand.
After this past hectic year the members of Panik! will take some time off. The band is in the first leg of the tour accompanying for their most current release. The newest record from Panik! is the band's first album in two years.
