About Panic At The Disco

The group went for a world tour in the latter part of 2006. The tour included schedules at Australia, New Zealand, and continental Europe. On November 7th, 2006, they started off their first-ever arena tour with Bloc Party and Jack's Mannequin. They performed the opening act in New York through November 26th in Iowa. The band was seen along with Fall Out Boy, Marilyn Manson, and other bands on the special edition soundtrack of Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas covering "This is Halloween," which was re-released in 3D on October 20th.

Panic! at the Disco is also well known for old-style circus shows, where they bring a suite of contortionists and dancers on stage accompanying them as they perform. At their of late shows at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York and at the Patriot Center in Virginia, Panic! at the Disco featured covers of "Killer Queen" by Queen, and "Eleanor Rigby" by The Beatles. They also had a noteworthy performance in Times Square during the New Year's Eve celebrations in December 2006 with Carson Daly. There they presented two of their hit songs, "Lying is the Most Fun a Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off" and "I Write Sins Not Tragedies".

According to sources the band has began working on their second album, of which they have completed eight tracks. A title and release date has yet to be decided. The band is presently working on the recording in a cabin in Nevada. In May 2007, it was declared that a Smashing Pumpkins Tribute LP would come out, compiled by MySpace and Spin. The LP will present Panic!'s cover of "Tonight, Tonight".
