Paganfest was offered a record contract after putting on a show at at Beach, a local dive bar. Paganfest were convinced their hard work had paid off after their first single rose to the top of the charts.

Paganfest accepted that they had a real chance to become a headlining national act when the group’s first fan club was started in 1998 by Liz Easley. The fan club received a huge boost after Kathleen Reiner designed a website for the group. That coupled with the tour from New York to California saw the fan club’s official membership reach numbers in the thousands.

The band is in the second leg of the promotional tour for their most current record. The newest project from Paganfest is the group's first album in three years.

Critics have generally commended Paganfest for their ability to energize the audience during live shows. Charleston music critic Abrahams Avondale has always commended group’s superb front man. Paganfest’s new project has received generally positive reviews from all the critics, including Marcus Scheutz from Atlanta and Glenn Menchen from Tampa.
