Obits were sure that they would make it after signing the record deal. They had heard stories of others still failing, but were sure they would be one of those bands.
Obits finally realized they made it after Susan Rummerfield started the first fan club for the band in 1984. After starting out with a handful of members in San Antonio, the club took off exponentially, growing to over two thousand in just a few months.
