Negative began singing at Supplies, a local dive bar. The bassist used to annoy his brother by playing his favorite music incessantly. The drummerdiscovered his love of music by listening to his uncle's record collection. Negative began playing together while they were in middle school. The band kept requesting that the local radio station to play their track.

About Negative
Negative was offered a record contract after their single was heard on Q91.5. The group plays plenty of arenas, but would rather perform in the smaller clubs in which they began.
Negative realized that their dream of making an actual life for themselves as musicians had come true when Betty Brooks started the first fan club for the group in 1983. The group embraced the small fan club and with the launching of the group’s own website by Maria Hart and a well marketed national tour the club quickly grew to a few thousand.
Negative plans to take a break after this next tour, allowing the band members to recharge. The band may have recently finished their most current release, but they are plotting their next move already. Negative's most current album has taken the band in a brand new direction, with a heavier sound.
Generally, critics have praised Negative for their ability to connect with the crowd when they perform live. A music critic from Champaign, Don Piper, has always commented on band’s incredible guitarist. Negative’s latest project has received superb reviews from all the critics, including Ethan Cotroneo, who first saw the group play in Miami.
