About My Morning Jacket
The group started out with Jim James singing and playing guitar, “Two Tone” Tommy on bass, Johnny Quaid on guitar, and J. Glenn on drums. As the group progressed the band began to alter its lineup, with J. Glenn leaving after recording My Morning Jacket’s second album, At Dawn, and Johny Quaid and J. Glenn leaving in early 2004.
My Morning Jacket has kept the sound that elevated them to an underground sensation on their first album, The Tennessee Fire. The new band lineup, with James and “Two Tones” Tommy remaining, is completed by drummer Patrick Hallahan, keyboardist Bo Koster, and guitarist Carl Broemel. The band has gone on to release three more albums, It Still Moves in 2003, Z in 2005, and Evil Urges in 2008.
Lacking a major commercial hit, My Morning Jacket has been touring constantly with concerts scheduled throughout the year, giving fans, old and new, a chance to get My Morning Jacket tickets early and often.
