About Mushroomhead

In 1993, Mushroomhead was launched as a side project. Its line-up consisted members from various bands from Cleveland, Ohio. To distinguish itself from members' subsisting bands and to drive away any misconceptions about the bands sound and musical material, Mushroomhead took on costumes, masks and pseudonyms. They played their first show in 1993. Later on, the group found itself on stage accompanying notable metal band GWAR. In 1995, Mushroomhead brought out its self-financed debut album, Filthy Hands Co., "Mushroomhead". For the line-up, Mushroomhead became a priority with their actual bands breaking-up. The band's line-up came across numerous changes during the 1990s, remained active, steadily releasing music and attracting new fans.

In 2005, Mushroomhead started the process of producing new material and recording a new album. In December of 2005, Mushroomhead collaborated with Megaforce Records, assuring the new albums accessibility nationally and internationally. This conversion added on a new look for Mushroomhead. All the masks still exhibited the X-face but have an individual mask look, not the same indistinguishable masks as in the XX and XIII eras.

Mushroomhead appeared with Dope, Nocturne, and New Orleans locals Invain. And performed a show on The Music For Freedom Tour patronized by Ja¨germeister at the House of Blues in New Orleans. This event was one of the most celebrated acts to be performed in New Orleans for a long time due to Hurricane Katrina hitting New Orleans on August 29, 2005. Savior Sorrow reached #73 on the Billboard 200 charts with sales exceeding 12,000.

Mushroomhead, SOiL, Brand New Sin, and The Autumn Offering were a bigger success than the prior albums. And it took them on road together for a full tour of the United States in 2006. Mushroomhead's 2006 Midnight Halloween performance began with a proclamation over the PA. Immediately after, the lights came up, bringing out their Nightmare Before Christmas-themed set, all over with falling snow. St1tch and Little Dan appeared wearing masks from two members of Slipknot. Dan putting on Chris Fehn's mask with the Pinocchio-style nose, Stitch wearing Shawn "Clown" Crahan's mask.
