Mary Gauthier met with a local DJ from X99.1 and convinced him to play their single on air. The single immediately became a local hit and larger radio stations started playing the song. Mary Gauthier accepted the fact that their dream of making a life as musicians had come true after the band’s first fan club was started by Nancy Foster in 1987. The fan club grew quickly from a few dozen members in a few cities to a few thousand country wide.
Mary Gauthier's members hope to team up with other artists while they are on tour. The band recently completed their most current record, but they are plotting their next move already. The latest release from Mary Gauthier has taken the band in a very new direction, going back to basics.
