The members of Madman Diaries met in 1982. The drummer wanted to start a group since he was in middle school. The drummer was encouraged to play by his father. Madman Diaries began performing at the local bar Guy. The band asked the local radio station to play their track.

Madman Diaries’s first album was a dud, but the second finally got some attention. The group plays plenty of arenas, but would rather play in the smaller bars in which they began.
Madman Diaries realized they had finally made it in 1990, when the group's first fan club was started by Rebecca Yeubanks. After the group’s first North American tour, the fan club grew from the couple dozen fans who heard the group play around Houston to the thousands who heard them play country wide.
Madman Diaries's new album is the band's first album in eight years. The group is in the start of the promotional tour for their newest record. Madman Diaries hope this next tour brings in more fans than ever.
