Lollapalooza has already had two festivals in Chile and Brazil in 2012, and they are preparing to give the finale with a weekend in the United States in Chicago, IL at Grant Park from August 3 to 5, 2012. This year the big names are Black Sabbath, Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Black Keys, Jack White, and Florence and the Machine. Lollapalooza tickets are available now with the TicketSpecialists as the three-day and single-day passes are sold out.
This music festival began as a vision by Jane’s Addiction’s Perry Farrell. From 1991 to 1997, the first generation of the event, a plethora of musicians toured North America, with a specific emphasis on the emerging genre of grunge and alternative rock. As alternative rock became the mainstream the music festival lost its momentum and went into hibernation until 2003. It came back again as a traveling musical circus, but could not keep the public’s interest over 30 weekends.
Instead, the Farrell partnered with Capital Sports and Entertainment and chose a single locale for the event, Chicago, IL. In 2005, the music and arts festival regained its appeal. For three days more than 70 acts, with a great variety of acts. More eclectic in its nature, Lollapalooza rejoined the ranks of great summer music festivals.
For three days every August the biggest bands in the indie rock, the most highly anticipated bands coming back and reunited, and a host of DJs, upcoming alternative hip hop acts, and comedians arrive in Chicago to rock the city to is very core. The TicketSpecialists have the Lollapalooza tickets to enjoy this festival every summer.
