The members of K.I.Z. were friends in college. The band used to sell their records out of their van at the local record store. K.I.Z. started playing at the college club Humorist. The drummer used to listen to his sibling's tape constantly as a teenager.

K.I.Z. was discovered after their single was heard on B97.1. The group played for little to no money at first and was just happy to be given a chance to be heard. Now the group play in plays in sold out arenas across Britain.
K.I.Z. accepted they had finally made it in 1975, after Pam Lordi started the band’s first fan club. The group embraced the small fan club and with the launching of the band’s own website by Ruth Casas and a well marketed national tour the club quickly grew to a few thousand.
Members of K.I.Z. see this tour as a chance to expose a whole new audience to their music. The band has just finished their most current project, but they are already planning their next move.
