Kenny Wayne Shepherd the American guitarist who gave music mainly to the soft melancholic songs was not taught by anyone and learnt mainly from his father’s album broadcasted on radio. He had the actual turn to guitar when he saw the Steve Ray Vaughan show. He made his first stage performance when he was thirteen years old with Bryan Lee of the New Orleans. He started regular performances on stage and he played in concerts of Bob Dylan and Eagles.

He became an astonishing guitar player of the time. From a very early age his music was developed with rock elements. He was enlisted for Grammy in 1999 for Best Rock Instrumental Performances.
Wayne did not waste anytime to settle peacefully and prepared his fresh album Live On that marked his ability as a guitar player, music arranger, entertainer and lyricist. It highlighted the development of Wayne with experience and left no doubt to mark him as a leader of the rock guitarist in present and future. The album had Jerry Harrison as producer and Tom Lord for mixing the music. He had great group of guitarist along with Chris Layton on drums, Tommy Shannon on base, Reese Wynans on keyboard and many others. Kenny singly and jointly gave lyrics to many tracks. The singer sang all the tracks with love, laughter and control which is in Contrast with Kenny’s singles. After a couple of years he came with another big album Trouble Is with the same vocalist Noah Hunt and producer Jerry Harrison. They were again nominated for Grammy in 1999 on the same category as earlier and received the BMI award. They performed in more than 200 concerts in 1998 having their first tour to Australia, Japan. He acted in an advertisement of Gap and got publicity from Vanity Fair and Rolling Stone magazine. Kenny got praises from the reviewers and he was called “one of the wonders of the world” by James Brown.
Kenny had popular live concerts. He made a ten days tour to the United States to get together and perform with iconic personality like Pinetop Perkins, Bryan Lee, Etta Baker, The Muddy Waters Band and many more. In the Valentine’s Day of 2007 Kenny and Bryan Lee came as guest with Jay Leno on The Tonight Show. He made the starting of a program Lynryd Skynyrd venued at Orange county Fair. Kenny married Hannah who is the daughter of Mel Gibson in 2006 and had their first child in 2007. He recorded his first album at the age of seventeen which became a hit at its release and sold more than 500,000 records till the beginning of 1996. Very few album of the blue genre had become commercially such immense successful like the album of the teen aged guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepherd.
