Kataklysm began playing at the local club Fascism. The guitarist wanted to start a group since he was in middle school. The lead singer use to listen to CD constantly as a teenager. The most current album from Kataklysm is a refinement of their traditional sound. The group just completed their latest release, and they are already planning their next move. Members of Kataklysm hope this next tour brings in more fans than ever.
Kataklysm continued to work hard, scared they would just be another one hit wonder. Kataklysm met with a local DJ from Q99.5 and convinced him to play their single on air. The single immediately became a local hit and larger radio stations started playing the song. Eventually a record executive heard it and signed the band.
Kataklysm realized that the possibility of living life as actual musicians was a distinct possibility when Virginia Zadra started a fan club for the group in 1987. While the club started out small after the organizer heard the group play at a small club in Cincinnati, the club grew leaps and bounds after the band’s first national tour.
