Janes Addiction’s first album did not do so well, but the second album was a hit, going platinum. The band plays plenty of arenas, but would rather play in the smaller clubs in which they started. Janes Addiction met with a local DJ from K101.5 and convinced him to play their single on air. The single immediately became a local hit and larger radio stations started playing the song. Eventually a record executive heard it and signed the group. The group members were relieved to have the opportunity to make an album and quit their day jobs that supported them while they worked hard at night to make their dreams happen.
