Jackmove started playing at Anyplace, a college dive bar. The drummerdiscovered his love of music by listening to his mother's record collection. The drummer was heavily influenced by his sister's love for music. The members of Jackmove grew up together. The band was influenced by Robert Johnson.

The years of paying their dues paid off when Jackmove signed a record deal. The group members were relieved once they were signed and quit their odd jobs that had supported them while they worked toward their dreams.
Jackmove finally realized they made it in 1988, when the group's first fan club was started by Breanda Foster. Starting out with just a few dozen members in Washington, D.C., the fan club quickly grew with group’s national tour and the launching of the group’s website by Mandy Sheffield.
Jackmove's members hope to collaborate with other artists during the tour. The band is in the start of the tour accompanying for their new release. Jackmove's newest project took half a year to produce.
