Jack Penate was offered a record contract after performing at at City, a local club. The groupwas headlining shows soon after they started playing live. Jack Penate were unsure about their music careers with the release of their first album, and were relieved after their music began climbing the charts ad getting lots of play on the radio. The group continues to play large venues, but still enjoys playing in smaller clubs on occasion.

Jack Penate's new album is the band's first album in two years. The group is in the second leg of the accompanying tour for their new album. Jack Penate plans to take a break after this next tour, allowing the band members to pursue individual projects.

Often times, critics commend Jack Penate for their ability to energize the audience at live shows. New York music critic Ed Fleetwood has always pointed out group’s great skill on their instruments.
