Iglu started performing at Anyplace, a local bar. The drummer use to listen to musics constantly as a kid. The drummer wanted to start a group since he was in middle school. The members of Iglu met in middle school. The group used to practice at the bassist's garage.

Iglu realized that they had a real chance to become a headlining national act as soon as the group’s first fan club was started by Kim Ernst in 1992. After playing from New York to California, the group’s fan club exploded from the handful of fans around Ann Arbor to thousands in every city throughout the country.
The band is in the first leg of the tour accompanying for their newest record. The newest project from Iglu is the band's first album in ten years.
