About Ice Cube

With his diligent efforts and unique style, he went on to establish himself as one of the main hip-hop artists. He had a quite simple childhood; he was never involved in gang wars and drugs. During his teens, he came into contact with the popular b-boy. Well, during his school days, he also wrote, "Boyz-n-the Hood" track. Then he went on to form a rap duo with cool Sir Jinx aka CIA.

During one of their early gigs, the met Eazy E, the head of a band called HBO. Then, they decided to do something together and then evolved the first incarnation of hugely popular NWA. Cube couldn't continue with this group as he quit and went on to study architectural drafting at Phoenix. Within a year, he came back just before the release of NWA's tremendous album, "Straight Outta Compton." In 1989, this release became a huge underground hit. In the end of 1989, he left the NWA because of some management disputes.
Then, he headed straight to New York to record his debut album with the popular production team of ex-rivals Public Enemy. In 1990, he issued his hugely anticipated album, "AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted." This release went on to become a major hit. This album really established him to carry on as solo artist. Then, he went on to produce a record for his female protégée, "Yo-Yo." After this followed his EP, "Kill at Will" in late 1990.

After this he also made his acting debut in hit flick, "Boyz'n the Hood." He earned many encouraging reviews as an actor. Then, he issued his full length album, "Death Certificate." This album went on to spark up huge controversy and declared more vulgar than his earlier albums. This album went on cause severe outrage. His hugely controversial single, "No Vaseline" was directly targeted on NWA manager Jerry Heller. Besides, all such controversies, this album peaked at number two and went platinum. Then he embarked on an extensive tour including Lollapalooza.

Then, he issued his next album, "Predator." This release peaked at number one both Pop and R&B charts. By the time, his music seen few remarkable changes. After going through a slump period, he issued his next album, "Lethal Injection" in 1993. This album peaked at number five and also went platinum but couldn't garner the same response like its predecessor. Then, he appeared in Singleton's hit movie, "Higher Learning" in 1995.

In 1998, he issued "War & Peace, Vol 1." This release was followed up by its sequel, "The Peace Disc." So, get ready to feel the beats of your heart as this phenomenal artist is performing live. Just grab your tickets from an on-line ticket vendor and be there.
