Icarus Witch was discovered after their single was heard on Q90.9. Icarus Witch signed the record deal, but were not expecting the next step to be any easier.
Icarus Witch finally realized they made it after Breanda Molitor started a fan club for the band in 2000. While the club started out small after the organizer heard the band play at a small club in San Diego, the club grew leaps and bounds after the band’s first national tour.
Icarus Witch plans to take some time off after the tour, allowing the band members to pursue individual projects. The group recently finished their most current album, but they are already plotting the next move. Icarus Witch's newest album is the band's seventh record.
Critics have generally praised Icarus Witch for their playfulness with the crowd during live performances. A music critic from Urbana, Gerald Foster, has always mentioned group’s superb drummer.
