About I Am Ghost
After paying their dues and opening shows for years, I Am Ghost was signed to a record deal. The band's members all had odd jobs while they waited for their time to come. The group plays plenty of arenas, but would rather perform in the smaller clubs in which they started.
I Am Ghost accepted the fact that their dream of making a life as musicians had come true after Melissa Gitlewski started the first fan club for the band in 1981. The fan club started out small with just a handful of members, generally localized to the area around Ann Arbor, but the creation the group’s website by Mary Smith, along with the first real national marketing campaign, saw the membership to grow into the thousands.
I Am Ghost's members see this tour as a chance to expose a new audience to their music. The group recently completed their latest album, and they are already planning the next release. I Am Ghost's most current release has been heavily influenced by The Rolling Stones.
