Garmonbozia started playing at Waif, a college bar. The bassist used to listen to his family's CD constantly as a child. The lead singer wanted to start a band since he was in college. Garmonbozia’s members met in middle school. Aerosmith heavily influenced the early work of the group.

After paying their dues and opening shows for years, Garmonbozia was signed to a record deal. Garmonbozia were relieved when their single climbed the charts. They had heard too many stories of bands with record deals going nowhere.
Garmonbozia realized that they were real working musicians in 1984, after Martha Piper started the group’s first fan club. The club started out in Cincinnati with a handful of members, but grew tremendously once their singles started getting national air time.
Garmonbozia will take a break after this next tour, allowing the group members to pursue other projects. The band just completed their new project, but they are already thinking of their next move.
