The members of E.s.t. met in college. The drummer was heavily influenced by his aunt's love for music. The bassist wanted to start a group since he was in high school. E.s.t. started playing at Ale, a local bar. The band used to practice at the lead singer's house.

E.s.t.’s single rose quickly in the charts giving then the national recognition they always wanted. The group does not have a problem selling out any venue now, small or large.
E.s.t. realized that their dream of making an actual life for themselves as musicians had come true as soon as the band’s first fan club was started by Kathleen Abbey in 1991. The club started out in Philadelphia with a handful of members, but grew tremendously once their singles started getting national air time.
E.s.t. intends to spend some time apart after this next tour, allowing the band members to recharge. The band is in the middle of the tour promoting for their latest release. The new project from E.s.t. took eleven months to produce.
E.s.t.'s performances always have the audience singing by the end of the concert.
