About Dave Mason

The talented Dave Mason was born May 10 in the year 1946. He is originally from Worcester, England who he happened to found fame with popular rock band Traffic.Mason happened to be a close friend of the legendary Jimi Hendrix. Hendrix who happened to first heard the delightful "All Along the Watchtower" originally by Bob Dylan while being at a party in which he was invited to by Dave, and he later decided to record his own famous version. The very same night he went on to record the famous song at Olympic Barnes situated in South West London, with the skilled Mason playing on the acoustic guitar and the remarkable Brian Jones hanging out through the entire session. The song was released as a single, in late 1968; it instantly reached number 5 spot in the UK music charts.

The Mason beautifully wrote “Feeling Alright”, which also became a huge hit for Joe Cocker. Some other popular hits that Mason wrote was titled “We Just Disagree” along with the third major hit titled “Let It Go.”. Mason left the famous band Traffic during the 1970s and had a successful solo career. He however later returned to record some new material. During the period of late '70s, he happened to toured and record with the famous guitarist Jim Kreuger and keyboardist Mike Finnegan along with bassist Gerald Johnson and the charismatic drummer Rick Jaeger. Their popular album titled "Certified Live" is a stunning display of his beautiful song writing along with vocal and guitar talents.

During the year 2005, Mason started performing solo shows in various parts of the works and primarily across the UK. This shows which were held at an amazing rate of about 100 per year gave lot of his fans a great opportunity to hear him live.
