The members of Dance Party met in college. The lead singer first found his love of music by listening to his father's record collection. Dance Party began performing at the local dive bar Deputy. Frank Sinatra heavily influenced the early work of the group.

After this last busy year the members of Dance Party will spend some time apart to rest after a long tour. The group recently completed their newest album, but they are already thinking of their next move.
Dance Party was discovered while putting on a show at at Gown, a local club. The band group played festivals, parties, bars, really just about anywhere that would take them. Dance Party’s first album did not sell well, but received critical acclaim. The second album was a hit and the band was saved from being released by the record company.
Dance Party knew they made it after Laura Treadaway started a fan club for the group in 1992. Initially the band only had a few fans from Omaha in the club, but after playing from coast to coast the fan club’s membership exploded to a few thousand.
Dance Party appreciaites their fans and wants to give them a good show, so they play older hits along with the new singles. Every time the band comes to Los Angeles they are sure to stop at Cafeteria and play a show.
