Daily Supplement was offered a record contract after performing at at Telegram, a local club. Daily Supplement’s first album did not do so well, but the second album was a hit, going platinum.
Daily Supplement realized they made it in 1987, when Melissa Gibson started the band’s first fan club. The fan club started out small with just a handful of members, generally localized to the area around New York, but the creation the band’s website by Pam Van Gundy, along with the first real national marketing campaign, saw the membership to grow into the thousands.
Daily Supplement intends to take a break after this next tour, allowing the band members to work on individual projects. The band just finished their newest project, but they are plotting their next move already. Daily Supplement's most current record is the group's first since the group members went to work on independent projects two years ago.
