Carolyn Dawn Johnson was born on April 30th, 1971 at Grande Prairie, Alberta; Canada and is a famous country singer and accomplished songwriter. She is also an expert at playing the guitar, piano and mandolin. She spent her early years in several small communities in Alberta and went on to graduate from RF Staples high school in West lock, Alberta. In the year 1994 she went first time to Nashville and then went on to travel back and forth to there from Canada for about three years until 1997 when she finally settled down eternally in Nashville.

Johnson is a famous songwriter and has written songs for Pam Tillis, Patty Loveless, Jo Dee Messina, Mindy McCready, Chely Wright, and Lila McCann. The first song penned by her to go number one on all the country charts was by the name of "Single White Female" which was performed by Chely Wright in the year 1999. She in addition also wrote all her songs on the first album called “room with a View" plus all but one on her sophomore album, "Dress Rehearsal". The song "Room with a View" has the record of the highest debut of an Arista Nashville fresh artist ever on Sound scan.
She toured extensively with the all-female band which was quite popular among the music lovers. The cast of the band included Reba McEntire, Jamie O'Neal, Sara Evans, and lastly Martina McBride, the band featuring on "The Girls' Night out Tour". In the year 2003 Carolyn started her first tour (co-headlining) with the famous Keith Urban.
