Carole Samaha began playing at the college dive bar Boss. The lead singer first found his love of music by listening to his aunt's music collection. Carole Samaha realized that they were real working musicians when Dorothy Judge started a fan club for the band in 1989. After playing across the world, the group’s fan club exploded from the handful of fans around San Antonio to thousands in every city throughout the country.
