About Calexico
Calexico’s first album was a dud, but the second finally got some attention. The band no longer has any problem selling out a show. Calexico was offered a record contract after playing at at Chief, local bar. The group's members all had weird jobs while they waited to be noticed.
Calexico realized that their dream of making an actual life for themselves as musicians had come true in 1997, as soon as Nancy Brady started the band’s first fan club. While the club started out small after the organizer heard the group play at a small club in Tampa, the club grew leaps and bounds after the group’s first national tour.
Calexico's members see this tour as a chance to expose another audience to their music. The group is in the second leg of the tour accompanying for their new project. Calexico's newest record is a refinement of their previous sound.
Calexico appreciaites their fans and wants to give them a good show, so they play past hits along with the latest singles. The group loves playing in New York because they played their first sold out show there.
