The band was formed in Cleveland Ohio, in the early 90s. Across Mid-West BTNH was considered as one of the biggest rap bands which fought for their respectable position in the music industry. The band had to face certain difficulties in the beginning as the industry was dominated by already existing tycoons of the music industry like New York and California. In the year 1993 the band shifted to Los Angeles and met the NWA member and West Coast rapper Easy-E. The band gave a telephonic audition to the rapper but had to wait for the final break. It was their second audition with Easy-E who signed the group for his own record label.
