Robert Lane "Bob" Saget is a Jewish American actor and stand-up comedian best known for his role in the ABC sitcom Full House from 1987 to 1995 and as host of the TV home video show America's Funniest Home Videos from 1989 to 1997. Saget is also known for raunchy, unabashedly vulgar stand-up comedy routines. His brief appearance in Dave Chappelle's “Half Baked “ shocked many viewers who were unfamiliar with Saget's standup material. His phrase, "I used to suck dick for coke", is one of the most memorable lines of the movie. His performance of the traditional joke "The Aristocrats" is reputed to be one of the foulest and funniest retelling ever attempted. About Bob Saget

He is the director and the producer of the critically acclaimed ABC telefilm “For Hope”, a story based on the life and struggle of Saget's sister, Gay, who passed away in 1994 from Scleroderma. He directed the MGM feature film Dirty Work, an episode of HBO's comedy the mind of the married man, as well as the telefilms, JITTERS for Lifetime and becoming dick for E! Entertainment Television. He found his way into his first television appearances, including the comedy game show "Make Me Laugh," Rodney Dangerfield's "HBO Young Comedians Special" and several commercials. As a warm up comedian for the audiences of the television comedy "Bosom Buddies," he soon received a guest-starring role on the series.

He went on to guest star in such series as "It's A Living" and "The Greatest American Hero," and he costarred in the feature film “Critical Condition.” Then, in 1987, he got the starring role as Danny Tanner on the hit series “Full House,” which ran for eight seasons. In addition to "Full House," Saget served as host and co-writer of the television series "America's Funniest Home Videos" from 1990 to 1997. In 2001, Saget starred in another family television series, “Raising...Dad.” Saget has also written and directed films like “Becoming Dick,” “Dirty Work,” “For Hope,” “Jitters,” and “Through Adam’s Eyes.” The hit off broadway show "Privilege” received rave reviews, and ran for over seventy performances. Saget was also seen in the hilarious and controversial documentary feature film, “The Aristocrats' where his appearance got raves from The New York Times, The New York Observer, and Entertainment Weekly, who said, "...This is the host of America's Funniest Home Videos as you've never seen him before."

Bob is very proud to be an active member of the board of directors of the Scleroderma Research Foundation and is also on the board of the Starlight/Starbright Children's Foundation. He hosts and produces three major fund-raising events every eighteen months, for the Scleroderma Research Foundation: in New York, Los Angeles, and the organization's base city, San Francisco.
