The group is in the second leg of the promotional tour for their most current project. Basement Jaxx are expecting to bring in a new audience with this tour and the newest album.
After paying their dues and opening shows for years, Basement Jaxx was signed to a record deal. The band plays plenty of arenas, but would rather play in smaller bars in which they started.
Basement Jaxx accepted that the possibility of living life as actual musicians was a real possibility in 1980, when Dorothy Lambert started the band’s first fan club. The band embraced the small fan club and with the launching of the band’s own website by Sandra Tettleton and a well marketed national tour the club quickly grew to a few thousand.
Basement Jaxx realizes that most fans like their previous songs, so they use material from older projects and the latest release. Dallas has always been receptive to the band, even when they were small time, so the group schedules a show there every year, even if they are not touring.
