Bad Livers’s members grew up together. The guitarist used to listen to radio constantly as a teenager. Bad Livers began singing at Cafeteria, a local dive bar. The group used to practice at the bassist's garage.

Bad Livers were still not sure if they would make it after getting a record. They had heard too many stories and knew that they were in no position to expect anything. Now the group play in plays in sold out arenas across North America. Bad Livers was discovered after their single was heard on B89.5. The group members were ecstatic once they were signed and quit their odd jobs that had supported them while they worked toward their dreams.
Bad Livers realized that their dream of making an actual life for themselves as musicians had come true after Martha Quinn started the first fan club for the group in 1978. Starting out with just a few dozen members in Urbana, the fan club quickly grew with group’s national tour and the launching of the band’s website by Jennifer Dunn.
The most current record from Bad Livers has taken the band in a quite different direction, incorporating more influences than previous albums. The band is in the first leg of the promotional tour for their most current release. Bad Livers intends to take some time off after this next tour, allowing the band members to pursue other projects.
