Background:
Tremendously popular Mexican singer Ana Gabriel hit the stage for the first time when she was just six years old and sang José Alfredo Jiménez's "Regalo A Dios." This was a very pleasant experience for the young Ana and gave her enough encouragement that she decided to pursue her career in the beautiful field of music. Her parents are Raúl Araújo and Japanese descendant Isabel Young. She has been thoroughly supported by her parents throughout her musical journey. On number of occasions Ana confessed that she would have achieved nothing if she wouldn't have such supportive parents.

Ana started her music training and at the age of fifteen this enthusiastic teenager moved to Tijuana not to study music but accountancy but she consistently strived to realize her musical dream. Then she got the first opportunity to record her very first track called "Comprendeme" in 1977, she grabbed this opportunity and went on to record her first song. Later, in the same year, she earned the second position when she sang "No Me Lastimes Mas,” at a local musical festival popularly known as Valores Juveniles means Youthful Values. In 1986, she represented Mexico at OTI's Festival.
After two years she got her first breakthrough and then released her album "Tierra De Nadie," which included her hugely hit number "Simplemente Amigos." This track caused a stir among music lovers and also earned her a reasonable but dedicated following.
