A Sounds Eclectic Evening met with a local DJ from Q99.9 and convinced him to play their single on air. The single immediately became a local hit and larger radio stations started playing the song. Eventually a record executive heard it and signed the band. The groupstarted headlining shows as soon as they started playing together.
A Sounds Eclectic Evening knew they had finally made it when the group’s first fan club was started in 1982 by Mandy Parquette. Initially the band only had a few fans from Cleveland in the club, but after playing country wide the fan club’s membership exploded to a few thousand.
